He not only has a great voice, which earned him a place in finals of the “champions” season of “America’s Got Talent” early this year but apparently Marcelito Pomoy also has a heart of gold.
Marcelito Pomoy has helped out a family in need by providing them construction materials so they can build a house.
In his latest vlog, he said that he used his earnings from his YouTube channel to buy the materials.
Pomoy said he had come across a Facebook post about Nanay Nelia and her son Ismeraldo Collante, who used to have no home at all. The neighbors in the area had worked together to build them a tiny house, but couldn’t finish it due to lack of resources.
Touched, Pomoy headed over to Nanay Nelia and surprised her with a donation of coco lumber for the house’s flooring, plywood for the walls, iron nails, and a steel roof.
Marcelito, who previously said that coming from a broken family inspired him to help others, shared anew that his experiences growing up with almost no means to survive pushed him to build homes for those in need.
Pomoy admits that he knows what it felt to have nothing.
He added: “Kailangan kong tumulong sa tao para maiparamdam ko man lang kung ano ang narating ko ngayon ay maibalik ko sa kanila.”
He also revealed that he is onto his fourth one, he said: “‘Yung bahay ni nanay kasi ‘yan ang una. Pero ngayon may ginawa kami halos pangatlo na, may pang-apat pa na ginawa namin.”
